eCMVIII was dedicated to honour of Prof.
Dr. med. D.Sc. (h.c.) Stephan M Perren a world-renowned
research trauma surgeon for his endless work on bone research,
teaching, advising, fostering ideas and mentoring of scientists.
A single session permitted in depth multi-disciplinary
set of discussions with clinicians, biologists, chemists,
engineers and material scientists on latest research and
developments in the field of bone tissue engineering . The
meeting started with an excellent overview of clinical problems,
followed by current research and some cutting edge work
from the groups of Hubbel and Evans and finished with a
look to achievemnets and future work to be done from Prof
Stephan Perren.
